I'm Back

Hey All,
So I meant to write on a regular basis but unfortunately life caught me in a headlock for a while. Anyway last weekend I drove up to the Bay Area to visit one of my closest friends and to unwind from school and all that other life bs. I only spent a few days up there but it was the perfect amount to recharge my batteries and attempt to get my head on straight. Alli and I decided to drive up the coast for a bit and saw some pretty intense scenery. It kind of went like this,
-Me "Oooohh cows"
-Alli "Ooohh horses"
-Both of us "Hippies."
Haha, there was a lot of cool stuff plus some good lunch. The ride back took forever but it was nice to reflect on some of the stuff that's been going on lately.

Today, my mom, sister, cousin and I went to a furniture auction, it was hysterical. First, I have never been to any kind auction before so when the auctioneer started doing the auction talk it was all my sister and I could do to not bust out laughing. The place was also serving wine, which my mother decided to drink lots of. She proceeded to then bid on a whole bunch of things that were completely ridiculous just to get a laugh out of us. We ended up with an amazing couch.

O yeah I almost forgot before the auction started we were joking around talking about our auction strategies in my car. I said that if I saw something I wanted I would Caw like a bird, so then my mom started talking about how if she saw something she needed to bid on she would make her animal noise. Now my mom's animal noise sounds like something straight out of the jungle and when she made it, my sister laughed while drinking her water and spit it out all over my seat, my cousin and my dashboard. O my.

So I am going to try and write on a more regular basis about what I'm not to sure. Anyway I must be off as I am exhausted and will start triathlon training tomorrow. O yes, my nerdiness is surely coming out if full force right now because I am absolutely obsessed with Battlestar Galactica, I think it is a great show and definitely parallels real world issues. So I suggest checking it out.

Judd Apatow

I never finished nor published this entry from January...whoops. I'm just posting it in all its unfinished glory. Hah

I'm a big fan of Judd Apatow, I love his movies. But even better than his movies are his TV shows, Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared. I recently watched both of the short lived series and am quite sad that they were both canceled. I think both of them portrayed life pretty realistically albeit my life is not exactly the normal one to compare to. Anyway, I just wanted to share that I think both shows are funny and worth the time if you've got it.

Now

I've come to the realization that life is way short. I am never going to experience all the things I want. Won't be able to read all the books I want to, go to all the shows I want to, travel where I want to, etc. Not only that, but I spend so much time invested in planning my next move, that I completely forget the here and now. I am always focused on tomorrow or next week, forgetting to appreciate what's going on today.

I have also noticed that I put off other things. For instance, when faced with a choice or opportunity, I do not always choose whats best or right for me. I find its easier to go along with something than to stick up for what I believe, because tomorrow I can set things right so why cause a fuss right now. There is a certain way I see myself and certain things I wish to accomplish, but I am always putting it off. I'm done living my life in this way, I'm just going to start fresh.
