My cat Sebastian came home this weekend. To be frank, the cat is psychotic. Don't get me wrong I love him to pieces, but he rips out his hair and is afraid of balloons. Sebastian is so afraid of balloons in fact, that my mom's balloon impression freaks him out(to be honest its an amazing impression). Anyway, he'd been gone a week or so and he came back all dirty and skinny. My sister claims he wants to commit suicide because he keeps gazing up at her with sorrowful eyes. I'm glad he is back, because the nights are cold and he loves to cuddle.
Like I said not much going on this weekend, but I did manage to start thinking about the new year. I'm not all that into making resolutions and the like, but one think I like to do is make a list of things I'm going to do. So for 2009 I've got two things:
1) In Mexico, specifically Oaxaca every December 23 they have a radish festival. Basically, the radishes there get to be huge, foot long monstrosities and they carve them. During the festival they have a judging contest and hundreds of people enter in their radish figurines. I realize it doesn't sound too fantastic, but I am attracted to the off the wall.

2) I want to swim under ice. This picture doesn't exactly illustrate that well, but up north they have competitions and you free swim under the ice. Periodically there are cutouts for you to come up for air, they look like this cutout that the guy is diving into.
That's all I've got on my 2009 list. I'm going to try and post every idea I get as well as the aftermath of my attempting them.
Do you have any plans for the new year?
